Greg Emmert

Greg Emmert is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Vireo, with 30+ years in outdoor hospitality. He formerly owned and operated the 240-site Homerville KOA Campground in Northeast Ohio, leading it to consistent profitability, Net Promoter Scores in the high 80s, and KOA President’s and Founder’s Awards for eight straight years.

Today, Greg helps campground owners across North America with feasibility and due diligence, operations and SOPs, and revenue management. He is known for quickly identifying what makes a property special and translating it into a practical plan that improves performance, guest experience, and team execution.

Greg is a frequent speaker and podcast guest, and he was named the 2019 Outstanding Environmental Educator by the Environmental Education Council of Ohio. Outside of work, he is a proud bird nerd who still talks about the day a Scarlet Macaw seemed to appear out of nowhere in the jungles of Mitú, Colombia.
